Black Cornicen of legio III.Augusta detachment transfered to Europe for the fighting in Marcommanic wars of Marcus Aurelius.This artwork was also done as part of my long time fight agains racism,because I've met a lot of "experts"on the internet who although knowing almost nothing about Roman army and its culture,are mixing their own modern racial prejudices with ancient society to which it was almost completely absent that form they believe in.Entrance to Roman military was never restricted on the ground of skin shade and regardless skin shade anyone could join the Legions in case he had Roman citizenship.
